Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to Indian River County Released Inmates and its links, search tools, and written material. By browsing or using any feature, you agree to follow the terms below. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. The terms define permitted conduct, explain the site’s private and unofficial role, limit prohibited uses of record information, and state how outside services, warranties, liability, ownership, and Florida law are handled.

Private resource notice. Indian River County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with Indian River County, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the Indian River County Jail, the Florida Department of Corrections, a parole or probation agency, a federal or immigration authority, or any other government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated decision. The site points visitors toward inmate, jail, release, and public-record resources in Indian River County and Florida. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

The Site’s Limited Role

Indian River County Released Inmates is an independent reference site. It does not operate a government database and does not store the Sheriff’s booking history, Clerk court files, FDC offender records, VINE notifications, or federal and immigration custody records. It cannot confirm a person’s custody status, order or carry out a release, change an official record, file a court document, or answer for an agency.

The site organizes links and explanatory material that can help a visitor locate Indian River County and Florida record resources. Some search features connect to independent research providers. Each source remains responsible for its own records, system, access rules, charges, and response. Florida agency records are subject to Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and other applicable laws and exemptions, not to these private-site terms.

Conditions for Acceptable Use

You may use the site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm people, systems, or other visitors. By continuing, you agree that you will not:

  • use the site while violating any applicable law or regulation;
  • use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person;
  • base an employment, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decision on site content;
  • try to enter an account, server, feature, or data area without authorization;
  • deploy bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated collection tools; or
  • interfere with site performance, security, availability, or another visitor’s use.

No Consumer Reporting Service

Indian River County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare or provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. You agree not to use information obtained here for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

  • a decision to hire, retain, promote, discipline, or dismiss a worker;
  • rental, housing, lease, or tenant-screening decisions;
  • creditworthiness, lending terms, or insurance pricing and eligibility;
  • licenses, permits, benefits, or government-program eligibility where consumer-report rules apply; or
  • any other decision or transaction governed by the FCRA.

Independent Links and Services

The site links to Sheriff and corrections pages, release records, court and government portals, legal resources, transportation or reentry information, and outside search services. A link is supplied for convenience and does not endorse the destination. Indian River County Released Inmates does not control an outside site’s content, record quality, privacy practices, security, fees, availability, or continued operation. Review the destination’s own terms and privacy policy before using it.

Information Provided As Is

The site, its text, links, tools, and other features are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made concerning:

  • the accuracy, completeness, context, or current status of information;
  • continuous or uninterrupted access to any page or tool;
  • the absence of errors, defects, malicious code, or security weaknesses; or
  • the range, depth, or completeness of a partner’s search results.

Custody and release status can change quickly. Public records can also be corrected, restricted, sealed, expunged, moved, or delayed. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the jail, FDC, a court, or another government agency. Confirm important facts with the office that created the record.

Limits on Liability

To the maximum extent Florida law permits, Indian River County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from access to, reliance on, inability to use, or misuse of the site or any linked service. This limit applies even if the possibility of a loss was known.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Indian River County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, contributors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, modify, sell, or create derivative works from those materials without prior written permission. Government records and linked third-party materials remain subject to their own ownership and reuse rules.

When These Terms Change

These terms may be revised at any time to reflect changes in the site, its providers, or applicable law. A new version becomes effective when it is posted here. Continuing to use the site after publication means the revised terms govern later use.

Suspension or Loss of Access

Access to all or part of the site may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. This may occur to protect security, enforce these terms, address misuse, maintain the service, or discontinue a feature.

Florida Law Controls

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning these terms or use of the site must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Florida.

If One Provision Fails

If a court finds any provision invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable. All remaining provisions will continue in effect.
