The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office does not publish a page labeled as a rolling 24-hour release list. Its Today’s Bookings page is a calendar-day gallery of people booked today. Some entries may already carry a Released label, but the page does not collect every person whose jail stay ended today. Someone booked weeks ago and released this morning would fall outside that gallery’s booking-date logic.
The official substitute is the IRCSO Inmate Search. It searches eligible adult booking history and includes a Release Date field. For a rolling period that crosses midnight, check the current date and the prior date, then read the precise timestamp on each booking detail. The form does not promise that a blank-name, date-only search produces an exhaustive daily list. Treat it as a date filter and request an existing daily release log when completeness matters.
Check Indian River County 24-Hour Releases
Start with the release-date search because a released person often drops from the current-custody view. Use a name and date of birth when checking one individual. If the goal is to review a day, test each applicable calendar date and inspect the returned episodes one by one. The county’s historical record is tied to a booking, so an old released episode can sit beside a newer active booking for the same person.
- Open the Sheriff’s Inmate Search and enter the current Release Date. Also check the prior date when the rolling 24-hour span crosses midnight.
- Use full name and date of birth when known. Review every booking number attached to the correct person rather than relying on one summary label.
- Open Release Info. Note the exact date and time, release reason, disposition, releasing staff, and the Released To destination.
- If another agency or institution is named, continue with that custodian. Leaving the Indian River County Jail does not always mean leaving all custody.

A transfer is still a release from this jail, but it is not a community release. Follow a state prison destination through the Florida Department of Corrections, a federal prison case through the federal locator, and an immigration handoff through the appropriate immigration custody channel. The Sheriff does not publish fixed gate-release hours, weekend processing times, a family waiting area, or a named exit door. Lobby and property hours must not be used as a guess for when releases occur. IRCSO does publish a separate physical-property process. The confined person first names the recipient on a property-release slip through Smart Communications, and the recipient needs both an appointment and photo identification.
Property pickup runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Property line is 772-978-6363. Getting Home After Indian River County Release
The Sheriff’s corrections resource directory lists GoLine as the county’s free fixed-route transit service. Most routes generally operate Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Community Transit uses the same 772-569-0903 number for eligible shared, door-to-door trips. The directory does not promise a stop at the jail gate, so call or check the live route before relying on transit from 41st Avenue.
IRCSO also has a bicycle program through Re-Entry Services. It is not automatic transport at release. A participant must register, sign a waiver, watch a training video, and pass a skills test. These details make advance planning useful, especially when a release happens outside the bus span. The county publishes no guaranteed release hour, which means a family ride, transit option, and backup plan should be arranged around confirmed status rather than an estimate.
Note: Call GoLine before release day because the Sheriff’s directory does not identify a guaranteed transit stop at the jail entrance.
Bond Release in Indian River County
A same-day release often follows a posted bond, but the sequence begins with the booking record. IRCSO tells users to check whether bond has been set. If no amount is shown, first appearance or a later court date controls. Once bond is set, the full amount can be paid through supported facility or online methods, or a surety bondsman can be used.
A Posted Bond release ends that jail episode. It does not dismiss the charge. Use the case number from the booking detail to find the court docket, where hearings, filings, sentence entries, and final disposition are recorded. The release timestamp answers the custody question, while the docket answers the case question. Keeping those records separate prevents a same-day release from being mistaken for the end of the legal matter.
Indian River County Release Archive Split
Indian River County has three different web windows. Eligible adult booking histories are searchable back to August 1, 2005. Sealed or expunged records, people younger than 18 at booking, and bookings before that date do not appear in the public history. By contrast, the Sheriff’s separate affidavit and case-report download page covers only the last ten days. Neither limit creates a rolling 24-hour release list.
