No Indian River County 72-Hour Feed
No official Indian River County page is labeled as a rolling 72-hour release list. The Sheriff publishes Today’s Bookings and Yesterday’s Bookings, but both group people by the date they entered the jail. They are not release-date feeds. A person booked months earlier and released during the three-day window will not move into either short booking gallery because of that later release.
The closest official tool is the Sheriff’s all-history Inmate Search. It includes a Release Date field and can lead to a booking detail with an exact release timestamp, reason, staff member, disposition, destination, and bond information. Search the three relevant calendar dates separately. The public form does not guarantee that an unnamed date-only query returns a complete daily extract, so request existing date-range records when the full set is needed.
Build Indian River County Three-Day Window
Define the period before searching. A rolling 72 hours may begin midway through one calendar day and end midway through another, so it can touch four dates even though it spans three full days. If a calendar-day review is enough, search the last three dates. If precise boundaries matter, give the Sheriff exact start and end timestamps and ask for an existing release log within that period.
- Write down the start and end of the intended window, including the time of day when known.
- Open Inmate Search and test each calendar date touched by that window in the Release Date field.
- Search the person by full name and date of birth when the date filter is incomplete or the goal is one named person.
- Open each correct booking episode. Record release time, reason, disposition, and Released To.
- Check the receiving agency when Released To names another custodian. That is a transfer, not proof of community release.
- Ask Inmate Records about a very recent event or request the existing date-range release record from the records custodian.

Some cards may say Released. That label helps for those bookings, but the gallery omits people booked before yesterday whose release fell inside the same three-day period.

Indian River County 72-Hour Record Fields
A three-day review is only as sound as the fields checked within each booking. Start by matching identity through more than a name. Date of birth, booking number, case number, physical descriptors, and booking date can separate people with similar names. Then confirm that the selected episode has a release timestamp inside the chosen window. A person can have several past bookings and a new current stay.

The case number links the custody event to the Indian River Clerk’s docket. A posted-bond release does not resolve the charge, and a transfer does not end all confinement. The jail record answers when one booking episode ended. Court, prison, or supervision records answer later questions.

Weekend Indian River County Release Checks
A wider period is useful when a family learns about a release after the weekend or cannot name the exact day. Search the dates that cover the weekend, and include the next calendar date when processing or web entry may have crossed midnight.

VINE reports an event supplied by a participating custodian. It is not a certified release record, and its result can coexist with a transfer, detainer, probation, parole, or conditional release. No result by itself does not prove release.
Holiday timing calls for the same care. The Sheriff does not promise that each public screen updates on a stated cadence. Confirm the historical booking after the event has posted, or request the existing release record if the web display remains unclear. The broader window reduces the chance of checking the wrong date, but it does not turn a booking gallery into a complete release feed.
Indian River County Release Archive Boundaries
The long-run history has an unusually clear boundary. IRCSO says it searches eligible adult bookings from August 1, 2005 forward, while omitting sealed or expunged records and people younger than 18 at booking. An empty result can therefore reflect a stated exclusion, a spelling problem, an alias, or a booking outside Indian River County. It is not sound proof that no booking or release ever occurred.
The Sheriff’s public-record download page follows another rule. Its arrest affidavits and case reports cover only the last ten days. Those files concern arrest and case documents, not a three-day release list. Web history and document downloads can therefore have different spans without conflict. Today’s and Yesterday’s booking galleries create a third window, based on entry into jail. The Release Date field in all-history search is the accurate bridge between a recent period and the older archive. This local split is why three date searches are stronger than scanning two gallery pages.
Request Indian River County Date-Range Records
A narrow public-records request is the route for a complete existing release log, an official electronic copy, or fields not displayed on the web page. IRCSO accepts requests by email at publicrecordsrequest@ircsheriff.org, by phone at 772-978-6215, by mail, or in person at 4055 41st Avenue in Vero Beach. Florida generally does not require a reason for an ordinary public-records request.
Ask for records, not a new report. Useful wording is: “Please provide any existing release log for the stated start timestamp through the stated end timestamp, including release date and time, release reason or disposition, and destination or receiving agency, with exempt fields redacted. Electronic copies are preferred.” For one person, add the full name, date of birth if known, booking number, case number, and approximate dates.

The request page distinguishes routine copy costs from deposits for large work. The listed $200 deposit concerns large-volume or bulk public-record and photo requests, not a fixed price for one release record. Ask for an estimate and an existing native electronic file to help control cost.
Indian River County Release Custody Routes
The correct record depends on who held the person. IRCSO history is the primary path for a release from the Indian River County Jail. A state prison release belongs in the Florida Department of Corrections Prison Release Search. A federal prison release belongs in the Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration detention is checked through the ICE locator, while the Clerk’s docket supplies the county court outcome.

Released and still in custody are not the same search state. A current jail roster is designed to show current custody.
